Intensive individual therapy retreats are designed to provide a concentrated and immersive therapeutic experience for one person at a time. Away from the distractions and stresses of everyday life, you have the chance to truly heal. By dedicating time solely to your healing journey, you can make significant strides towards emotional balance and well-being.
Instead of having to open and close your story each week like in traditional therapy, I will hold space gently and safely over an extended period of time with your trauma and all the parts of you that have held it.
These retreats offer a unique opportunity to unplug, reflect, and focus solely on your own mental and emotional well-being.
You will work with Charity to determine your specific agenda based on your preferences and needs for the retreats. At your EMDR Intensive Therapy Retreat, you’ll embark on a holistic healing journey and be guided with compassion every step of the way. Each retreat is carefully designed to create a safe and supportive environment for transformation.
Clients fly in from all over the world to stay here at the retreat cottage in Bucks County River Country and experience true trauma transformation. Is it your turn?
Here at your solo healing retreat, you’ll work with Charity to design a time of healing that is exactly what your weary soul and body need.
Intensive trauma therapy retreats are especially powerful for people who have experienced childhood trauma, attachment trauma, sexual trauma, and other forms of C-PTSD.
You’ll meet for 6 hours of trauma therapy (IFS Informed EMDR) each day where you will deeply dive, without the interruptions of daily life, into your story. My sole focus for the week is holding space for you and your healing journey. We will use parts work and somatic options to make this trauma processing gentle for your nervous system.
Surrounded by nature, you will be able to take all the time you need after therapy each day to soak in the hot tub overlooking the creek, walk along the Delaware River, or relax on the far infrared treatment Bio Mat.
Options for bodywork such as massage and trauma sensitive yoga will be provided, and your nervous system can experience a much-needed reset through holistic healing modalities such as sound therapy or reiki. In your free time you can discover beautiful Bucks County River Country or nearby New Hope, Frenchtown and Easton. Come discover true healing!

FAQS
Common Questions
How much does this cost?
The cost of an intensive therapy retreat with me is $2000 per day. This includes food, lodging, and 6 hours of therapy per day.
VCAP funding is available for some victims of sexual trauma in Pennsylvania, reach out to learn more.
If you don’t wish to stay at the retreat cottage, prices are modified accordingly.
Add-on services such as massage, sound therapy, and reiki are available from outside professionals and are charged separately.
Can I do an intensive with you while seeing another therapist?
Yes, many therapists refer their clients to me for an intensive experience, and after completing their trauma work the client returns to their primary therapist for ongoing general therapy. Having a primary therapist is also an excellent resource for the client to prepare for the intensive.
Who provides the services?
Therapy is provided by Charity O’Reilly, LPC. Please visit her About page to learn about her certifications. Massage, reiki, sound therapy, and other body work services are provided by licensed and insured contractors whom you will receive more information about when you customize your retreat.
Is food included during the retreat?
Meals are provided through Daily Harvest, which has gluten free and vegan options. You will discuss your order with Charity at your intake appointment.
How many days will I need?
Intensives typically range from 3 to 5 days. We determine the number of days to schedule after the intake appointment, based upon your trauma, attachment, and dissociation history. If you need more than 5 days, we will schedule these separately, so that you have time to integrate the enormous amount of work that is done in 5 days. (Research shows a 5-day intensive is the equivalent of a year of weekly therapy).
What will my day look like?

What's included?
You’ll stay in the retreat cottage, a cozy B&B homestead experience that will attend to all aspects of your selves, body, mind, and spirit. Everything you need for a time of relaxation, from delicious food to an extensive library to luxury bath products and plush robes is provided. During your retreat, you won’t have to worry about where to stay, what to eat, or what to do.
If I live out of state, can I still come?
Yes! My clients come from all over the world. Intensive Therapy is great for clients who live outside of Pennsylvania and desire to work with me. It’s also a safe space for those who are worried about how they may react to intensive trauma therapy and want to remain in a healing environment for the duration of their therapy.
If you are worried about traveling alone, you can bring a support person or pet with you- just reach out to discuss the details.
