Our Newest Book: How to Understand and Deal with ADHD
We were so excited in 2025 when the publisher of Charity’s first book, You Will Get Through This: A Mental Health Tool Kit, reached out and asked us to write a book about ADHD. Tom brings the lived experience as a person with ADHD and an ADHD coach, and Charity brings the mental health credentials. We spent the winter writing the book, and just finished the copy edits this week. That means that the next step is for the publisher to send the proofs off for typesetting, and then in August our new book will be born!
How to Understand and Deal with ADHD is part of a series of “pocket books” published by The Experiment. Each book is small and concise, and filled with nearly 100 coping strategies for a variety of concerns, from anger to stress. Our book focuses on adults with ADHD, and finding creative ways to experience and embrace your strengths as a person with ADHD.

Tom editing the new book: How to Understand and Deal with ADHD
As an ADHD coach, I truly love helping people find their ADHD strengths. Sometimes this is the ability to hyperfocus. Other times, it’s the amazing creativity of the ADHD brain. In our new book, we explain the neuroscience of why this is, in really simple terms. The hardest part of writing this book was doing a deep dive into the neurobiology of ADHD, figuring it out so we could explain it easily to ourselves, and then figuring out how to explain it in writing! But we think we achieved our goal.
If you want to understand the neurobiology of ADHD better, Tom is taking new coaching clients. Schedule a free consult with him today! And if you want to learn more about ADHD, or perhaps give it to a gift as a loved one, you can pre-order our new book here.
