Meet

Charity O’Reilly

(She/Her)

I’m Charity, a holistic trauma therapist and healer.

I believe that the trauma responses we live with, like shame, dissociation, and nervous system dysregulation are often our brain and body’s best attempts to cope and heal.

You are designed to heal from trauma and by getting the support you deserve, healing from trauma is possible for every part of you.

I offer holistic trauma healing to folks who identify as women and non-binary through a variety of traditional and creative counseling and body-based approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Parts Work (Internal Family Systems), Trauma Processing Yoga, Herbalism, the Enneagram, and more, helping you find the healing you never thought was possible.

Many of the people I’ve been privileged to work alongside have called me a medicine woman because I believe in using all the resources nature gives us to find full healing and freedom for our whole selves. As a fellow CPTSD survivor, I offer the healing I wish had been available when I began my healing journey…and I’m so glad to offer it to you.

I live by the words…

And when you are lost in the dark and can’t find the path back to the light,

I join you there and bring the light with me.

What I Believe

I believe in offering evidence-based therapy to help you differentiate your intuition guiding you from your trauma misleading you. And I also believe that our lived experience matters most of all.

I believe that BIPOC and AAIP lives matter, that we must honor the Indigenous land on which we stand, and that trauma therapy must be actively anti-racist and decolonizing so that it does not continue to perpetuate the same trauma it seeks to heal.

I honor the Lenape and other Indigenous caretakers of the lands and waters on which I practice healing, the elders who lived here before, the Indigenous today, and the generations to come. I practice this by actively participating in learning from and volunteering for my local Lenape community and participating in the Rising Nation River Journey.

If you find yourself wanting to….

Close this chapter and be able to walk into the rest of your life story.

Own your story but not feel owned by it

Trust your own intuition and body and learn to listen to what you truly need.

Be able to reparent the parts of you who have experienced attachment trauma.

You are in the right place.
